Empower Software offers an enterprise human resources and payroll solution that provides an automated capability for handling the record keeping and system of record for all pertinent employee information. Browser-based and configurable, it is a solution designed to help your organization manage employees, consultants, retirees, beneficiaries, dependents and more.
With a built-in workflow engine, Empower's technology is comprised of four modules that automate routine data entry tasks for Human Resources, Benefits Management, Position Control, and Payroll Processing. These four modules interact with one another, accomplishing routine online transactions with a minimal number of keystrokes.
Human Resources
EmpowerHR
™ includes many unique design features to maximize human resources processing and analysis, including online and interactive functions for input, update and display, as well as online edit and audit capabilities to ensure data validity and database integrity. EmpowerHR also features date-sensitive, table-driven parameters to facilitate changes and the various requirements of the system. One central database serves across all applications as a non-redundant base of critical information for all employees, and EmpowerHR also provides a complete audit trail and history of all transactions, as well as comprehensive reporting, query and analysis.
Benefits Manager
Empower Benefits Manager handles the complete administration of your organization’s offerings including benefits and plans definition, open enrollment, payroll deduction, billing, interface with the benefit administrator, and the dissemination of employee benefits statements. It recognizes most of the standard benefits including: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment, short- and long-term disability, flexible spending and more. Plans are defined with their eligibility rules, employer premium, employee, spouse and dependent costs, COBRA cost and a host of other parameters to perform the complex calculations, and to translate the information to employee payroll deduction when applicable.
Position Control
Empower Position Control is designed to maintain detailed information about the positions within your organization. It provides the administrative and managerial tools to support organization management and reporting, personnel budgeting, workforce planning, position analysis, career planning, recruiting, and many other related functions. The system can be tailored to meet your business requirements and includes all of the functions needed to establish and process information for positions within the organization. All functions can operate on a position-by-position basis, providing flexibility in implementation and management style. Position Control Manager includes many unique design features to maximize position processing and analysis, and includes extensive history for every position in the system for use in comprehensive inquiry, reporting and analysis, as well as control of the number of incumbents in a position for budgetary and planning purposes.
Payroll
EmpowerPay
™ is designed to maximize the productivity of your payroll department. Capable of handling multiple federal tax identification numbers (tax entities) and payroll groups (pay entities), the system imposes no limits on the number of Earnings, Deductions, Rates of Pay, Distributions etc., at all levels; Client, Company (pay entity), Employee and Check. There are virtually no limits on any multi-occurring field, and EmpowerPay includes all of the major functions needed to process data for payroll administration and reporting.
