Pete Correll, Chairman of the Board

In addition to being Chairman of Atlanta Equity, Mr. Correll is Chairman Emeritus of Georgia-Pacific Corp. He has enjoyed a 40-year career as a successful executive in the forest products, paper and consumer products industries. Mr. Correll oversaw the acquisition and divestiture by Georgia-Pacific of companies with a total value of $45 billion during his career. In the process, he led a transformation of the company from a commodity forest products concern to an international company with a major emphasis on consumer brands.

Mr. Correll serves as an outside director on the boards of Mirant Corp., Norfolk Southern Corp. and SunTrust Banks, Inc., all based in the Southeast. Mr. Correll is also extremely active in community affairs in Atlanta and nationally. These activities include board, advisory or trustee positions with the Atlanta Committee for Progress, Emory University School of Medicine, the Georgia Aquarium, the Nature Conservancy and the Robert W. Woodruff Arts Center. A native of Brunswick, Georgia, Mr. Correll holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Georgia and Master’s degrees in Pulp and Paper Technology and Chemical Engineering from the University of Maine.

Anthony Forstmann

Mr. Forstmann co-founded Forstmann-Leff Assoc. in 1968, which was one of the leading institutional money management firms in the country, as well as one of the original Hedge Funds in the US. Mr. Forstmann was also an original investor in Forstmann, Little & Company and has remained a Special Limited Partner of this prominent leverage buyout firm. He is currently a Managing Partner for Forstmann & Co. and Chairman of Advonce Solutions, an innovative mobile solutions company.

 

Dick Nunis

Mr. Nunis (former Chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts) of Windermere, Florida is the president of New Business Solutions, Inc. and serves as chairman and CEO of NorthWest Ventures LLC. Mr. Nunis has served on a variety of prestigious boards such as The Walt Disney Company board from 1981 to 1998 and is a director emeritus. In addition, Mr. Nunis is past chair of The Florida Council of 100 and now serves on the board as an honorary member. Mr. Nunis received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California in 1955 where he was named to the first Scholastic All-American football team. In 1996, he received an honorary degree, Doctor of Public Service, from UCF.

Jeb Bush

Mr. Bush is the 43rd governor of the state of Florida, serving from 1999 through 2006. He was the third Republican elected to the state’s highest office and the only Republican in the state’s history to be reelected. During his two terms, Mr. Bush championed major reform of government programs. In education, Florida raised academic standards, required accountability in public schools and created the most ambitious school choice program in the nation. The state also launched and accelerated restoration of America’s Everglades.

Mr. Bush served as Florida’s secretary of commerce under Bob Martinez, Florida’s 40th governor. As secretary of commerce, he promoted Florida’s business climate worldwide. Mr. Bush joined forces with the Greater Miami Urban League to establish one of the state’s first charter schools, Liberty City Charter School, in one of the most underserved parts of Miami-Dade County.

Mr. Bush earned a Bachelor’s degree in Latin American studies from the University of Texas at Austin. He moved to Florida in 1981, where he started a real estate development company with partner Armando Codina. Bush is the son of President George H.W. Bush and Barbara Bush.

Lynn Swann

Mr. Swann was an All-American at the University of Southern California, and was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers with the 21st pick of the first round in the 1974 NFL Draft. Mr. Swann spent his entire NFL career with the Steelers and wore the number 88. Mr. Swann was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in 1993 and the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2001. He is the former Chairman of the United States President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports and serves as a director on the boards of HJ Heinz Co. and Transdel Pharmaceuticals. Mr. Swann also serves on the Board of Directors for Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Company and Harrahs Entertainment.

Karl Stenstrom

Mr. Karl Stenstrom was born in 1946 and is currently the Chairman of Pergo Corporation, USA Chairman of Wilkinsson Sword and UK President Swedish Match, AB, Sweden. He also retains board of director positions with Thomas Concrete Industries, USA; Fierro Group SA, Spain; Nordiquie France.

David P. Crosland

Mr. Crosland has 24 years of private equity and banking experience. Before co-founding Atlanta Equity, Mr. Crosland was a founding partner of Arcapita Inc., one of the largest private equity firms in the Southeast. Under his leadership, Arcapita invested over $850 million in 13 private equity transactions over eight years. Mr. Crosland began his private equity career with Investcorp International, Inc., where he spent five years. Prior to Investcorp, he worked at Morgan Stanley & Co. in the firm’s Mergers and Acquisitions department and Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company in the Energy Division.

Mr. Crosland earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, from Duke University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Seth Bernstein, Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Bernstein started his career at ADP where he was a top sales producer and was awarded the Crystal Award for two consecutive years. He went on to pioneer Zurich Payroll Solutions in 1997, which grew to $68 million in revenue before being sold to ADP & Advantage Payroll. In 2003, Mr. Bernstein purchased Stromberg where he led the company to a 1,700% growth to become the second largest time and attendance company in the country. He sold the business in 2004 to Paychex Corporation and continued as the President until August 2006.

Mr. Bernstein serves as an outside director of Forstmann and Company, University of Central Florida’s board and athletic board, Florida hospital’s executive board and the American Spectator’s board. Mr. Bernstein is a member of the New York Times "Top 40 under 40," Central Florida's "40 most influential men," Republican Governor’s Association and Florida’s gang reduction task force. Mr. Bernstein is a native of New York.
